HPCET 2026 Registration Begins

The Himachal Pradesh Technical University has started the registration process for the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) 2026.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website himtu.ac.in for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs such as B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, MBA, MCA, and M.Sc. courses.

The online application window opened on 13 March 2026 and the last date to submit the application form is 19 April 2026.

HPCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility requirements vary depending on the course.

B.Tech

• Must have passed 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics.

• One of the following subjects must also be included:

  • Chemistry

  • Biotechnology

  • Biology

  • Technical vocational subject

• Minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).

B.Pharmacy

• Must have passed 10+2 with Physics & Chemistry.

• One of the following subjects required:

  • Mathematics

  • Biology

• Minimum 45% marks.

MBA / MBA (T&HM)

• Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration.

• Minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

MCA

• Graduation degree such as BCA, B.Sc., B.Com., B.Tech, etc.

• Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.

• Minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

M.Sc. Physics

• B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

• Minimum 50% marks.

M.Sc. Environmental Science

• Bachelor’s degree in Science / Engineering / Pharmacy.

• Minimum 50% marks.

Total 75 questions, 300 marks, duration 2 hours.

For M.Sc Programs

• 100 MCQs

• Total Marks: 100

• Duration: 2 Hours

• Negative marking: -0.25

HPCET 2026 Selection Process

Admission will be based on the following stages:

1. HPCET Entrance Exam

2. Merit List Preparation

3. Centralized Counseling

4. Seat Allotment

Counseling is expected to begin in June 2026.

2. Click on One Time Registration (OTR).

3. Create a Unique Him Access ID using Aadhaar details.

4. Login and complete your profile details.
