NSD Admission 2026
The National School of Drama (NSD) has officially started the NSD Admission 2026 process for its prestigious 3-year Diploma and 1-year Certificate courses.
Eligible candidates can apply online till 17 April 2026, and the Joint Entrance Exam (Audition) will be conducted between May–June 2026. Selected students will receive a monthly stipend up to ₹9,500.

Educational Qualification
- Graduation in any stream from recognized university
Theatre Experience
- Diploma Course: Minimum 6 theatre productions
- Certificate Course: Minimum 4 theatre productions
Age Limit
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 30 years
- Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
Language Requirements
- Delhi/Varanasi/Tripura: Hindi or English
- Bengaluru: Kannada / Hindi / English
- Gangtok: Local language + Hindi/English
NSD Selection Process 2026
Selection will be done in 2 stages:
Stage 1: Preliminary Audition
- Held across 18 cities in India
- Based on acting & theatre skills
Stage 2: Final Workshop
- 5-day workshop in Delhi
- Final selection by expert panel
NSD Scholarship / Stipend
- Diploma Students: ₹9,500/month
- Certificate Students: ₹6,000/month
