Introduction – Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2026
Indian Navy has officially released the Indian Navy SSC Officer Jan 2027 Notification for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC). Applications are invited from unmarried men and unmarried women candidates for approximately 260 Officer vacancies across Executive, Technical, Logistics, Education, Pilot, Observer, and ATC branches.
The online application process starts from 24 January 2026 on the official website. Selected candidates will undergo training at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, and the course will commence in January 2027.

Eligibility Criteria – Indian Navy SSC Officer 2027
Educational Qualification
Executive / Technical Branch: BE/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks
Pilot / Observer / ATC: BE/B.Tech (any discipline) with 60%
Logistics: BE/B.Tech (First Class) OR MBA (First Class) OR B.Sc + PG Diploma
Education Branch: MA / M.Sc / M.Tech in relevant subjects with 60%
CPL Holders: Valid DGCA (India) issued CPL
Merchant Navy: GoI Certificate of Competency (as applicable)
Age Limit (As per Branch)
Generally 19 to 25 years
Date of birth ranges vary by entry
Relaxation applicable for CPL and Merchant Navy candidates
Nationality & Marital Status
Must be a Citizen of India
Only unmarried candidates are eligible
Marriage not permitted during training
