NCERT Eligibility Criteria 2026
Educational Qualification
Professor: Ph.D. with 10 research publications, 120 research score, and minimum 10 years teaching/research experience OR outstanding professional with Ph.D. and 10 years experience
Associate Professor: Ph.D., Master’s degree with 55% marks, 8 years teaching/research experience, minimum 7 publications, research score 75
Assistant Professor: Master’s degree with 55% marks + NET/SLET/SET OR Ph.D. as per UGC norms
Deputy Librarian: Master’s in Library Science with 8 years experience + Ph.D.
Assistant Librarian: Master’s in Library Science with NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D.
All qualifications must be as per UGC Regulations 2018 (as amended).
Age Limit
Age of superannuation and relaxation will be as per UGC / NCERT / Government of India rules
Age and category relaxations applicable for SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / EWS / PwBD
